A Facile Method to Synthesize Anode Materials for Li-ion Batteries

010It is reported that electrode material with novel design and hybrid nanostructure can enhance they electrochemistry performance, which can result from the component contacts either at the nanoscale or microscale, combining unique properties of individual constituents.

CoFe2O4-Graphene Nanocomposites were synthesized and their electrochemistry performances for Li-ion batteries were studied by Qian et al. The materials were synthesized through an ultrasonic method followed by anneal process at 350℃. The nanocomposites have a specific capacity of 1,257 mAh g-1 even after 200 cycles at 0.1 A g-1 and better rate capability. This may derive from the synergistic effect of CoFe2O4 and graphene, as well as proper anneal temperature.
