Pre-Treatment of Washing Method Used in Fabrication of Silver Nanowires Transparent Electrodes

Silver Nanowires (AgNWs) have high aspect ratio and high performance of stretchability with a world record strain above 460%, and a low sheet resistance. Both those factors are critical in fabrication of transparent electrodes. AgNWs can be widely employed in fabrication of transparent electrodes, and these high performance transparent electrodes could then be widely used in high sensitivity sensors, solar cells, light emitting diode (LED) circuits, touch screens and so on.

Recently, Jun Wang et al have used the washing method in fabrication of AgNWs Transparent Electrodes without post-treatment, and they achieved the AgNWs transparent electrodes with higher conductivity and transmittance, the better transmittance can reach above 95% at 550 nm wavelength. What’more, this washing method can popularize the use of this kind of electrode on more substrates. AgNWs which gained by washing method are successfully used in capacitive pressure sensor, and this sensors have high transparency, sensitivity, and reproducibility performance in the authors’ work.
